Welcome! The core of Dr. Herring’s practice philosophy is restoring teeth to last a lifetime while maintaining the correct occlusion. Teeth, bone, gums, muscles, and joints must function in harmony.
 Dr. Herring has lived and practiced in Sarasota since 1984. His commitment to post-graduate continuing education was most recently recognized by the Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship. Less than six percent of dentists in North America ever achieve this recognition.
Of all of Dr. Herring’s professional accomplishments, he is most proud of his time spent at the L.D. Pankey Institute. The Pankey Institute is recognized internationally as the world’s oldest and most prestigious nonprofit dental continuing education center.
We are pleased you considered us for your dental needs. New patients entering our practice benefit from a comprehensive clinical evaluation that may be unlike any they have experienced before. Your new patient exam will include: - a complete series of X-rays
- individual tooth assessment
- examination of chewing muscles
- evaluation of jaw points
- examination of how the teeth come together
- evaluation of the gums and other soft tissues
- screenings for disease and oral cancer
- screening for teeth wear
- aesthetic concerns evaluation
After the examination, before advising you on treatment, Dr. Herring will study all of the gathered information and form a plan that addresses your concerns and any uncovered health problems.
At a subsequent appointment you will discuss the findings of your evaluation and have an opportunity to consider treatment options. The goal is a lifetime of health and comfort. RESEARCH:
